Oerlikon Neumag is pursuing its own developments in the nonwovens field. Extensive laboratories and pilot lines have been set up for spunlaid and meltblown products. Here we carry out the improvements and development of new processes, components, and machines, as well as trials for and together with our customers.

Spunlaid Solution Center

Oerlikon Neumag’s headquarters in Neumünster is home to the Spunlaid Solution Center which is equipped with a spunlaid SMS line and a meltblown line. With the state-of-the-art pilot spunlaid set-up, Oerlikon Neumag is able to demonstrate the full capabilities of its spunbond and meltblown technologies in SMS materials and opens new opportunities for the further development of multi-beam processes and composite materials. On top of this, all beams are equipped with bicomponent capability. The 0.6 meter wide meltblown stand-alone line will be dedicated to supporting the development of fine fiber barrier and filtration composite media.
