Fehrer Needle Punching Technology

Single-, multi-board and structuring machines all contain the operational experience gathered from well over 3,000 machines running worldwide. All Fehrer high-performance needle punching machines are manufactured according to the Modular Design System.

Fehrer´s modular construction system is designed on the idea of dividing the needle beam and the needle board across their entire length into smaller units. Each beam segment is moved up and down in a synchronised motion by two eccentrics contained in a sealed housing. The complete encapsulation of the eccentric drives creates a closed circuit, which provides the constant feeding of all lubrication points with precisely the amount of oil required. This is the only system to allow the highest stroke frequencies in continuous operation and cost-saving service intervals of several thousand hours.
