Oerlikon Neumag Technology for Freudenberg

06.03.2008

Oerlikon Neumag has supported Freudenberg Vliesstoffe with Nonwoven Technology retrofitting a spunlaid line and delivering a complete carding line for Freudenberg in China.

Freudenberg Vliesstoffe retrofitted one of its polypropylene homo-polymer spunlaid lines at the Kaiserslautern plant to bicomponent technology. The line features multipurpose capabilities for various product categories. Oerlikon Neumag had acquired a major work share with turnkey responsibility of this investment. In the meantime the line is back on stream producing PP and PET with Co-Polymer products for various end-uses.

Further Oerlikon Neumag has acquired a turnkey project from Freudenberg for installation in China. A complete carding line including openers, cards, cross-lappers and needle looms will be installed at the Freudenberg Vilene, Suzhou plant. This line is scheduled to come on stream in July 2008 and will then start to serve Freudenberg’s industrial customers in the Far East.
