The goal to reach the requested textile-technological quality parameters in the final product with the lowest possible raw material consumption is also recognized in the development of crosslappers. The crosslapper evolved from its original role as connecting link between carded web production and lapped web bonding, into the key machine for determining fabric quality in the manufacture of crosslapped nonwovens.
